Precious Plastic is a global community that is working to find a solution to plastic pollution and doing so while sharing knowledge, techniques, and tools openly and freely. The project consists of creating workspaces and machines like shredders, injectors, and ovens that can transform plastic for reuse.
Precious Plastic Medialab TBK is the local branch of Precious Plastic, an open group around plastic recycling. Whoever wants can get involved in the activities such as the collection of plastic or the transformation and manufacture of machinery. Precious Plastic Medialab TBK is also connected to the international network and counts with many machines necessary for recycling (chopping, extrusion, pressing). It is an active and diverse community that meets every week at Medialab.
