The Precious Plastic Tabakalera team set out to update its fleet of plastic recycling machines by adding a semi-industrial press to the current family (consisting of a compressor oven, extruder and grinder). The machine has been built in Tabakalera over X months with citizen participation. Due to the complexity of the project, the Precious Plastic team has relied on the knowledge of “experts” – volunteers, in fields related to mechanics, electronics, materials science and electricity.
On the other hand, we have followed the tutorials available on the Precious Plastic project website, which explain step by step the assembly of the press to produce recycled plastic sheets.
