An open group in collaboration with the Astronomy Department of the Aranzadi Sciences Society that will discuss topics related to astronomy from the perspective of a member of the public. The group was started during the public astronomy sessions held at Medialab, coinciding with the peak of the Perseid meteor shower.
The Citizen Astronomy group works around astronomy and the dissemination of everything related to it, with the aim of serving as a meeting point for both connoisseurs and people interested in the subject. For this, the group develops and proposes different activities and projects that serve as a meeting point for the various types of interest that are linked to astronomy. The range of the activities ecompasses the observation and study of astronomical objects, the creation of didactic projects for their discovery as well as the development of technologies and elements for sky and space observation.
