Miniature version of the large motion multiplane, ready to disassemble and take on the road to animate anywhere. To capture the images just use your cell phone or a simple animation application.
Step by step
- DM wood sheet 5mm thick (30 x 60 cm)
- 2 mm thick transparent methacrylate (15 x 30 cm)
- Materials to animate: collage papers, drawings, photographs…
- Laser cutter
1.Cut the wooden pieces of the multiplane with the laser cutter following the template.
2.Cut the pieces of methacrylate. These will be your layers of the multiplane. You can build from two to 5 layers.
3.Assemble the wooden pieces to build your miniature multiplane.
4.Insert the different levels with the methacrylate sheets.
5.Place the piece of wood with the viewfinder on which we will place our cell phone or camera to capture the frames.
6.(Optional) Download the Stop Motion Studio app.
7.Place the elements that compose the image in the different levels.
8.Start animating.
